What's On WSIU TV

WSIU Celebrates Native American Heritage Month

Throughout the month, WSIU Public Television will broadcast a variety of programs that examine the Native American culture; some highlights are featured below. Clicking on the image will take you to the program's website, if available.

Earlier this year, a main focus for WSIU Public Television was the broadcast of WE SHALL REMAIN, a five part series which establishes Native history as an essential part of American history. You can view a number of projects which were associated with that effort at these webpages, including a virtual exhibit Mapping the Trail of Tears in Southern Illinois" based on work by Harvey Henson and Karen Frailey

In addition, other events are scheduled on the campus of Southern Illinois University Carbondale.
