In segment two, gardening expert Margie Evans meets with southern Illinois residents Angelique Kuehl and Tim Damian, who both use recycled rainwater to keep their gardens and animals flourishing. Kuehl and Damian collect rainwater using rain barrels. Together, the guests demonstrate how easy and inexpensive it is to make rain barrels. Kuehl and Damian also explore the different types of rainwater recycling systems that can be purchased or made at home. Margie also meets with Jason Shoot, operator of Frontwards Farm in Makanda, Illinois, who maintains his garden using several rainwater cisterns and other rain collection system for the garden and home.
