Southern Illinois lawmakers will offer their reaction to Governor Pat Quinn's annual budget address in this special edition of WSIU InFocus.
State lawmakers have already begun deliberating how they may have to make deep cuts in education and human services if the current temporary income tax expires as scheduled next January. The Governor has not said whether he supports extending the current five percent personal income tax rate, but has indicated he will outline a five year budget plan for the state in his speech. WSIU producer and Illinois Lawmakers host Jak Tichenor will talk with local state senators and representatives to get their perspective on what the Governor has to say.
