Cyclists Bryan Wyman and Todd Parker founded the annual Le Tour de Sainte Genevieve in 2007. It is a Missouri State Road Race that offers race opportunities for both adults and children. Parker, who serves as race coordinator, wanted to expand road race opportunities in Missouri and thought the hilly terrain around Sainte Genevieve would make a challenging course. The course begins and ends in downtown Ste. Genevieve and includes races that range from a few laps downtown to nearly 90 miles across the countryside. More than 250 bicyclists from around the country participate in the event each year. Winners receive a total of about $5,000 in prizes
