New Orleans Barbeque Shrimp
Provided by Mike Osifcin
2 slices Bacon, chopped
1/2 lb. Margarine
1/4 tsp. Dried Basil
1/4 tsp. Dried Thyme
1/4 tsp. Oregano
1/2 tsp. Chili Powder
2 tbsp. Shrimp/Crab boil
2 cloves Garlic
1/2 tsp. tabasco (more if desired)
1/2 tsp. cajun spice blend or Wazang spice
1 or 1-1/2 lbs Shrimp, with shell
salt and pepper to taste

• Saute chopped bacon until it begins to get crisp.
• Add all the other ingredients, beginning with the margarine.
• Simmer for about 5 minutes to blend flavors
• Strain the sauce through a strainer.
• Place the shrimp uncovered in a baking dish and pour the sauce over the shrimp.
• Bake in the oven for 20 minutes at 375 degrees.
• Garnish with herbs or chopped green onion, if desired.

Note: You may peel and eat the shrimp after you take it out of the oven and it cools down (nice and messy). Or, you can pour it over rice or mashed potatoes. Serve with a crusy, French bread. Enjoy!
