Carbondale, Ill. – WVSI 88.9 FM, a public radio service of WSIU Public Broadcasting at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, is temporarily off the air due to a loss of power at the station's transmitter in Mt. Vernon. WUSI 90.3 FM in Olney and WSIU 91.9 FM in Carbondale are operating normally.

WSIU engineering staff are working to identify and resolve the problem at this time.

Listeners in the Mt. Vernon area may tune in to WSIU Radio online at www.wsiu.org/live and are encouraged to visit the station website at wsiu.org or call the WSIU Radio newsroom at (618) 453-6101 for updates.

WSIU Public Broadcasting regrets this temporary service interruption. We would like to thank our listeners in the WVSI area for their patience as we work to restore service as quickly as possible.
