Carbondale Ill. -- WSIU Public Broadcasting, the public media arm of Southern Illinois University Carbondale (SIUC), is teaming up with media and public policy partners to present special programming to public broadcasting stations statewide during the fall election season, along with extensive coverage of the candidates and issues.

Both debates will air live on WSIU-TV and WSIU Radio, and will be made available to public broadcasting stations statewide.
WSIU and its regional partners also will present interviews with candidates for the Illinois General Assembly and U.S. House of Representatives on Friday nights in October as part of the weekly WSIU-TV series WSIU InFocus.
