Carbondale Ill. - Beginning Monday, September 7, 2009, WSIU TV 8 and WUSI TV 16, the public television stations of Southern Illinois University Carbondale (SIUC), will launch a new daytime children's programming schedule, which includes a new PBS KIDS series, Dinosaur Train.

Dinosaur Train, airing weekdays at 8:30am and Saturday and Sunday at 7:30am, offers preschoolers a fun way to learn about natural science, natural history, and paleontology. Buddy, a preschool-aged Tyrannosaurus Rex, and his adoptive family of Petranodons take the Dinosaur Train to explore prehistoric jungles, swamps, volcanoes, and oceans.
