Carbondale, Illinois - WSIU Public Broadcasting, the public media arm of Southern Illinois University Carbondale (SIUC), will present live coverage of the ceremonies inaugurating the six Illinois Constitutional officers on Monday, January 10 from 11am-1pm on WSIU Television's primary HD channels, WSIU-TV 8.1 and WUSI-TV 16.1.
WSIU Public Radio - WSIU 91.9 FM/91.9 HD, WUSI 90.3 FM, and WVSI 88.9 FM - will provide live coverage through Illinois Public Radio from 11:30am-1pm.
Governor Patrick Quinn, Lieutenant Governor Sheila Simon, Attorney General Lisa Madigan, Secretary of State Jesse White, Comptroller Judy Baar Topinka, and Treasurer Dan Rutherford will be sworn in during ceremonies held at the Prairie Capital Convention Center in Springfield.
Broadcast coverage of the event is being produced by the Illinois Information Service of the Illinois Department of Central Management Services.
The event will be rebroadcast on WSIU World, WSIU-TV 8.2 and WUSI-TV 16.2, on Monday, January 10 at 7pm and Sunday, January 16 at 4:30pm.
