Carbondale, IL - Valentine's Day is just around the corner, but there's still time to send a sweet treat to friends and family! WSIU 91.9 FM, WUSI 90.3 FM and WVSI 88.9 FM, the public radio stations of Southern Illinois University Carbondale (SIUC), are inviting public radio fans to surprise the special people in their lives this Valentine's Day with boxes of locally-made gourmet chocolates during the "Love is on the Air" event.

Launched in 1997, this annual on-air fundraiser has become a popular Valentine's Day tradition, all for the love of public radio! Regular or sugar-free hand-made gourmet chocolates provided by The Chocolate Factory in Golconda, Illinois are available in half-pound boxes for a donation of $45, one-pound boxes for a donation of $60, and two-pound boxes for a donation of $100. Each box includes a gift card with the sender's personalized Valentine message. Chocolates can be shipped anywhere in the continental United States on or before February 14, courtesy of Mail Boxes Etc. of Carbondale.

Supplies go quickly, so those interested in participating are advised to place their orders soon either online at www.wsiu.org or by calling WSIU Radio at (618) 453-6184 or 1-800-745-9748. Orders must be received by 1pm on Wednesday, February 10 for delivery on or before February 14.
