Carbondale, Ill. - Calling all parents, grandparents, teachers, youth leaders, and especially kids!
Area youth in grades 4 through 9 are invited to get busy with business at WSIU Public Broadcasting's Biz Kid$ Bash on Saturday, August 1 from 11am to 3pm at the Illinois Centre Mall, 3000 West DeYoung Street in Marion, Illinois.
Sponsored by WSIU, in partnership with the SIU Credit Union and the Illinois Centre Mall, the free public event is designed to teach kids financial literacy skills.
Participants will watch video clips from the popular PBS television series Biz Kid$, then form teams and compete for prizes as they learn how to create and market their own businesses to enhance their communities.
