Carbondale, Ill. - Reporters, photographers, and camera crews are invited to cover a free sing-along concert featuring PBS KIDS host Mr. Steve this Saturday, April 2 from 1-4pm at Cedarhurst Center for the Arts, 2600 Richview Road, Mt. Vernon, Ill.
Mr. Steve's performance will be held in the Mitchell Museum Performance Hall. It will begin at 1:30pm and last approximately one hour.
Cedarmouse and PBS KIDS character SuperWHY will entertain children and families prior to Mr. Steve's performance.
An autograph and photo session with Mr. Steve will follow the concert. Kids also will enjoy family-friendly art activities, such as hat-making and a scavenger hunt in Cedarhurst's Kuenz Sculpture Garden, and storytime sessions.
Mr. Steve is a Parent's Choice Gold award-winning music sensation who performs around the country as SteveSongs. He joined PBS KIDS in 2008 and is seen regularly in between morning children's programming on WSIU-TV 8 and WUSI-TV 16.
PBS KIDS host Mr. Steve! In Concert is co-hosted by WSIU and Cedarhurst.
