WSIU Outreach Multimedia Gallery | DuQuoin Public Library-Cat in the Hat Day

DuQuoin, IL, DuQuoin Public Library. WSIU hosted a "Cat in the Hat" day to help the library celebrate it's 75th anniversary on Saturday, March 27. In addition to a guest appearance by The Cat in the Hat, WSIU distributed Dr. Seuss books, led a reading session of "The Cat in the Hat," supervised a hat-making project, and invited children to try the online learning destination PBS KIDS Island. WSIU also installed a PBS KIDS Library Corner, which features PBS KIDS-branded banners, a rug, and dedicated shelving units, as well as PBS KIDS program-related books, activity guides, and DVDs.
