WSIU Outreach Multimedia Gallery | Carbondale Library Corner
WSIU is systematically visiting each of the target libraries in our service region to provide training and implementation of the Raising Readers Library Corners. This program aims to increase collaborations between WSIU and the libraries in the target market zip codes. The librarians were trained on how to use the Library Corner materials as well as how to use PBS KIDS Island and other digital media resources from WSIU. PBS KIDS Banner Stands and a Raising Readers rug were set up in appropriate and high traffic places in the library. Signage to promote the Library Corner and its features were placed around the library. The librarians received The Electric Company magazines and Really Really fun Pages to give to children that visit the library. They were also given two DVDs filled with PBS KIDS videos and activities.
